The birth of a royal heir was a joyous thing in Gaia. The whole nation stands on guard, waiting on news of the birth. Bells would ring, celebrations would abound, the country became a happy place. When the royal Princesses and Princes were born, of course there was quite the hullaballu. There was a bit of a different mood right now with the coming of Prince Roman. He was born a bastard of a man who the elves weren't quite sure if they existed. So today the mood was more curious- pent up with the hope for what would come.
Beth was in the birthing suite in her castle. Walking back and forth across the floor, she still talked things over with Aaron; policy and plans she would have to get back to after. There really wasn't a lot of official rules for when the ruler of Miriel was giving birth. Although there had been Queens before, they had always been married to steadfast Kings. Beth however was the first who would bear a bastard into office.

"Will you stop it already? Sit down or something, your making me really really nervous." Aaron told her, sat on the window sill like you might imagine a pixie or an imp to do. He was watching her closely, concerned about her. "He's your son, and your first born Beth- thats the be all and end all. What does it matter what the elves think? Theres only really one thing that holds his claim to the throne in check- if hes an elf or not. And at the end of the day, theres nothing you can do about it, the Goddess will place him as she sees fit."

Beth sighed and nodded, sitting on the corner of the bed. The midwife (the official one and not Cadee who was preferred) smiled on the Queen, glad she finally listened to reason. She made a move, coming to examine her liege when Beth raised a hand. "Leave us. I will call you when I am ready for you. Until then, I'll be fine with my brother."

He watched the woman frown, watched the furrowed lines of protest but he also watched her turn away and go. Aaron smirked, boyishly loving how his sister shot down the attending midwife, and probably wounded the womans pride. "Whats the worse case senario Beth?"

"It won't be bad if Roman isn't my heir." She murmured , perhaps a little guiltily. "Because I have considered another."

He unfolded and refolded his legs. "who have you considered?"

She lay back, rubbing her belly and looking up at the ceiling. Her legs still hung over the edge of the bed. The position wasn't ladylike but it was a luxury having only Aaron in the room afforded her. "Samantha- I want her to be my Heir."

He's eyebrows went skyward with a unmasked shock, though they soon sank into place. Aaron spoke softly, aware the topic may be delicate, but he had no qualm with speaking his truthful feelings to her. "Your not forgetting she's not actually Brad and Daisy's are you?" He asked gently, adding. "I have a feeling that may cause more uproar than you not being married to Aislin."
