She read the back of it, and looked at it strangely. "You think we sound like the La Coup?" She wasn't sure she was pronouncing it right. "Go on, you'll have to explain that one."

He nodded, "The writer must have been one of you." He went over to the counter and bought the book, bringing it back to her. "Its a long story- Do you want to go get coffee or food?"

She tugged her hand out of his. "You don't need to touch me still-" she told him. "I'm capable of walking on my own."

Matt nodded, "Of course." He lead her down a street that took her away from the main market where all the restaurants were and they started wandering through a street of small tiny houses. "I love this part of town- Where the normal, honest people live." He told her, "In their little houses, with their little lives, they're just happy to be alive and safe, so thankful."

She eyed him curiously; "You think they're actually happy though? I mean, there must be so much they miss and so many people they resent, how can they really be happy?"

"Because, Cissy, they're alive." He smiled, "And they have each other. They've lost people and they've been hurt but they survived and they'll rebuild."
