Ben had sent Parker out with some money, telling him to go read his Gaian History book and get a penguin pop or something. Of course, Ms Goldwyn had rolled her eyes but waved as he grabbed his satchel. On the way out, he heard her scolding Ben amid laughter. He'd gone and gotten a kabob and a drink and settled under the tree.
So far, he really liked being in the older grade. The work was interesting and he'd fallen in with Nate and his group. The others just seemed to cause trouble all the time- Despite the fact Parker wasn't opposed to fun, he mainly just liked to do his work and then break free from school.
Today, he didn't have any luck with that. The group of older boys, grabbed him and decided to teach me a lesson for being the "teacher's dog." They dragged him behind a shop and beat the grab out of them kid before leaving him bleeding. Parker had refused to cry and barely reacted when they beat him. That had earned the respect of at least one of the Jonsan boys who, although he didn't hit him, had cheered his mates on. When the wolf had started walking away, Parker had growled, "Pack scum." Which earned him a couple minutes more of punches.

"Watch where your scarping, dog boy-" Nathaniel scorned as the fleeting nearly knocked him over. He could hear shouting and jeering from the way the boys were running, and arrived to see the last couple still circling around Parker and delivering sleazy kicks here and there. Considering Elves were relatively 'peaceful' creatures Nate felt the need to get involved. "Hey! Leave off him."
"Or what, Poncy?" One of the lads sneered.
Nate's bow and arrow appeared in his hands in second, and the arrows flew free- Two loosed at the same time from between different fingers. They flew home, catching the lads in there shirt collars and pinning them to the shop wall. "I said, get out of here- do you not understand what that means." His eyes were green, and glowing as he offered Parker his arm to help him up - and the bullies scampered.

He shook his head, coughing and spitting up a bit of blood. "Leaches and pack scum." He grumbled, working on standing up. His one eye was black and he had had a split lip. Carefully he got up. "Thanks any ways."

Nate smiled softly. "Least your on your feet old man, lets have a look at you-" He nosed, then waved his hand over Parkers face. The wounds lessened, but Nat didn't have the understanding of his magic to heal him fully. He left Parker for a moment, and went to collect his arrows from the floor, his bow across his shoulder. "Bloody hell-" he complained to find one of them snapped. The other seemed okay through, disregarded from when the boys ran.

He chuckled despite the pain. "You're pretty good with a bow and arrow, leafy."

"i could shoot before I could walk." He said, fixing the tail on the snapped arrow, and then sheathed it. He looked up at the boy, only really registering what he said then. "Leafy?" Nate didnt look completely amused with that.

He smirked and shrugged, battered hands going in pockets. "There's not a lot I know how to do."

"I've seen that man picking you up from school sometimes, he's not your dad is he?" Nate asked forwardly. "But he looks really scary- you should get him to teach you your growl- then those idiots would think twice about picking on you because your smart."
