Jackson laughed, and because he wasn't worry about Kayden being able to do anything - and knew he could handle just about most things after some lessons with his great grandfather. "Do your worse, little princey" he taunted, sitting as Kayden asked.

Kayden nodded and as he concentrated, it was like shadows filled the air. They swirled and twisted with the powers of Hell and one of it's sons. The spell, he thought, was to bind another. Thinking it would be funny if Jack was struck like he'd be tied up, he released the energy at his cousin. And this, boys and girls, is when everything went terribly wrong. Because a Devil cannot bind another Devil with the exception of Luc, the spell bounced and went to the youngest demon.

"make it stop!" Brandan yelled, forced back into the nearest wall, struggling with the shadow like fighting dogs. Then began tearing at him, engulfing his skin, cutting his cheeks, his chest. The boys scales flared, like dragons armour they were tougher than most blades, but the binding dind't play by the rules and attacked his mouth and eyes. Brandan fell to his knees, choking.
"shit, Kayden, what did you try and do?" Jack cussed, rising to look at the book. "Oh for fucks sake!" He read the lines, possibly easier than his cousin seeing the meaning Kayden hadn't.

Kayden called back the shadow dogs, having enough power to do that but the damage was done. The possession already taking effect in the young dragon. The glazed look was in his eye and even Xander knew there was a problem. "Shit, kay, we need to get your Dad or something!"

Brand was trembling, curled in a ball on the floor, bleeding steadily. He felt weak, like the air had just been sucked out of him. It was like there was something else in his head now, blocking parts of his mind from him.
Keely appeared. A blaze with anger. When she saw the boys, it wasn't what she'd expected. It was possibly worse. Still, her anger raged and didn't stop her reactions. She jumped at Kayden, pinning him to the ground, hand to his throat. Her eyes were purple, like her son her scales were prominate. And she shook the boy hard.

Then the room turned black. When the suffocating shadows dissapated yet again, Luc was there and Keely was no longer on Kayden. "Kneel, demon." Normally, he addressed her by name but this wasn't Luc but Lucifer, Prince of All. "And you two-" He pointed to Jack and Kayden. "Get over here. Now."

She froze when everything went dark; and when he caught her under his command Keely went to her knees at her feet. "master-" she whispered, "please-" her eyes went to her son, though she kept her head bowed. Keely wasn't the most maternal, she never had been. But that same protective instinct was strong in her like every other good mother.
Jack pulled Kayden up from the floor, grasping his hand and tugging him to his feet. Dutifully he stood, going to his great grandfathers side.

Luc raised her chin, "If Kayden ever does anything this stupid again, hit him once for me." Then he looked at Jack, "What were the four of you doing?"
