Sam's life had changed so much in the last few years. She'd married, given her life and soul to her mate only for the last few years to live with his best friend, pretend to be married and rule a country. And all before her twenty-first birthday. She was suppose to of met Parker four hours ago, bt scandel had broken out amongst the trees that morning as Nate's father once more put himself as an obstical of her happiness. He'd come into her breakfast council that morning, raging that Samantha was sabatarging the throne and defiling Miriel. He questioned her morally and ethnically and as Nate rose to his queens defense Bjorn bellowed, for the elders to hear that Sammy was having an affair. The claim was met wit laughter, mostly by Nate and Aaron, as Sammy starred at the Lord bewildered. Only to be asked, by the elders, who were taking it all very seriously, if it was true. Now Samantha was being investagated, and the council, searche her rooms, questioned her ladies and discused her fedelity. Perhaps her actions would be seen as guilty, but lost and hurting Sammy had run away. She wanted to be anywhere but in Miriel then.

And Lord Parker had been arrested. Unofficially of course. They didn't want things to turn badly, didn't want to be seen with egg on their faces, if the allegations didn't pan out. So he'd been escorted by four members of the Miriel Guard into a small shack that was normally used for storage. They guarded the door and left him to stew. After all, the Lord Advisor had always been close to the Queen. They shared a strong bond- If she was going to turn to anyone would it not be him? And the King? How could he expect a wolf in his bed?

Of course no one expected the King of anything....when Nate heard Parker had been arrested, he'd been sufficantly angry and put on a performance to suggest he felt sufficantly betrayed. Then the King of Miriel demanded to see his ladies Lord Advisor. And of course, without protest Nate was allowed into Parkers prision and the guards remained outside. Nate just stood for a moment in the doorway, watching, then he unchained Parker and murmured; "she's gone."
Straightening he locked the door, closing them both inside. " We have sort this out, old chap, I'm taking any suggestions you have right now that doesn't involve ending my father -as much as that would please you." Nate needed his friends to be cleared, however his father had other plans, with the queen gone Nate was still king and Bjorn felt his son would be easier controlled by the elders that than 'poisonous little bitch'.

Parker's wrists were red and raw. On Lord Windsor's orders they'd shackled him in silver. "Oh, Leafy, you always steal my fun." He snarled, eyes going so golden that they shone. The air was filled with tension and Parker wasn't about to back down.

Nate took Parker's arms, he was no great healer - not like Sam- but he could take away the worst of the pain for his friend. "What happened?" He asked, sittig crosslegged on the floor. He felt the tension, but was keeping low, unoffensive he didn't want to further anger him, in fact he wanted to keep her calm.

"I don't know." He sat back in his chair, swallowing hard. "I was actually working in my office when there was a knock at the door. "Seven royal guards showed up- seven!- and charged me."

"it was the same at breakfast." he sighed. "The question is, do they know anything Parker- do you have anythig in Sam's room? Is there anything of hers in yous that I can remove now before they have more than just false claims?"

He shook his head, "Everything mine or hers that we share is at the house in Gaia. We even magically clean the rooms when we share them." The young man sighed and wiped his eyes, "The only one who knows anything, leafy, is you."
