Beth turned to where the soldiers had left Errol and knelt beside him. Her gown, symbolically white, became soaked in his blood as she cradled him in his arms. She made no move to clean it or stop it, just settled there, holding him as she would one of her sleeping children.

Aaron watched for a moment, then shook his head, running his fingers through his hair and the stress linned his face. "I'll have their bloody swords." he growled, and in anger went after the general and his men.

*** Beth, Aram and Cadee sat in her quarters. She had dispatched men to tell Errol's family that he had passed and that reprucussions would be made to the family

When Aaron stormed in he had three badges of honour in his hand, the badges of the soldiers. Tossing them on Beths desk he still looked rather angry, and it was unusual for Aaron to react so intensely. Of course, he reaslised she wasnt alone and paused. Cadee- and she had a strange look about her. A look that was almost too calm, to controlled. Too much like he'd seen his mom giving when she was fuming and screaming and crying on the inside. "Cades-" Aaron started towards her, but the little elf ignored him, moving to stand in the corner.

Beth stood and rested her hand on his arm. She gave him a weak smile and then pointed to a blanketed figure on Aram's lap. A small boy in stature and age. "Aram's brother passed on and his sister in law, when hearing, threw herself from the canopy."

"no-" Aaron breathed out and looked towards his best friend, noticing the boy. "Oh Goddess." He wanted to say I told you so, but it had no purpose here. Finally Cadee broke, and she sobbed, turning away from them all. Aaron didnt know where to turn now, torn. He went to his sister and hugged her in to his chest.

Aram stood, leaving the child on the couch and walked out of the room. He couldn't be there any more. Not with the guilt of what he had done. And what would he tell Aiden?

"Go speak to him-" Aaron murmured in Cadees ear. She looked up at her brother for a long moment, and nodded. Drying her eyes she glanced at the tiny child, then at Beth then went to find her husband.
"Aram wait-" Her voice was quiet and crackled with her greif. She'd come to love her in laws as family.
