The Herald Angels -Luc-

[Bails]

Ester had slipped outside in the early hours of the morning. Stretching out on one of the loungers, she wrapped herself in a soft pashmina to keep the draft away from her skin. The moon rode high in the sky, a sliver of silver, admist the inky clouds. And on the horizon, there was only one star. It glowed brighter than imaginable. And, as she starred at it, she felt the first pangs of labor.

Ester had known she was close. Like with Abel's birth, the pain wasn't intense, more like a fluttering in her abdomen. Her hands rubbed over her bump in a circular motion, trying to sooth the child within. She knew what to expect, the natural motions of her god given task. Getting up, she waddled back in the house and into their bedroom. "Luc? It's time."

[*Gem*]

Luc was dressed, he hadn't slept any longer since he had felt Ester get out of bed. But he was a strong believer in privacy. He, when she came back into the room, was knelt beide the bed going through his routine of morning prayer. Smiling up at her, he took a moment to finish his silent prayer, adding a little well wish for their unborn child onto the end and then got up from his knees to draw her into his body. Luc kissed her hand, innocently and asked; "What do you want me to do first?"

One of the calmest men when his love was in labour, Luc was patient and kind, he was vurtuous to the end. "Would you have me call your parents? Or -?"

[Bails]

She shook her head, "Just sit with me for a moment? Because you know when the family gets here it'll be a circus and I would prefer the quiet." Her hand took his and she gave him a soft smile. "Sorry to have woken you up-"

[*Gem*]

"Its ok." He smiled. "You know I don't mind."

[Bails]

She nodded, "But I worry about you." Leaning in, she gave him the chastest of kisses.

[*Gem*]

"I'm absolutely fine." He promised. "Now- labour- concentrate." He grinned

[Bails]

She rubbed her belly, "Should we go to the hospital?"

[*Gem*]

He nodded; "Shall I make a few calls?"
