Rand had scooped Isla up and left her on the bed. He sat beside her,stroking back her hair and talking softly to his grand daughter. "You know, Isla, you couldn't just do things simply-"
"Sorry, Grandpa-" She murmured softly, "I'll try better next time."

"Oh you leave off her." Amber told him gently, stood in the doorway, towels and water in her arms. "Why don't you take Dom for a run up to the main house and get that rascal middle son of ours?" She teased. "What you say Isla? Shall we humour your old man and let him be here for you?"

She nodded, "Okay, Grandma." Waiting til Rand was gone, she wiped back tears from her eyes. "I'm scared." Secrets of this kind were better between women after all.

Amber placed everything she had down, and wandered across the room to sit beside her. Taking her hand, and kissing her head. "Now now, its okay to be scared Isla."
