The young Queen of Miriel was facing another dilemma. It seemed that her reign had been riddled with such problems. Normally she would rely on her brother, the Royal Adviser, to help her rule as the Goddess pleased. Only this matter concerned her brother, her brother-in-law and her people. Knowing her Father would be torn by the decision, that even his wisdom would be bound by the ties of love and morality, she decided to call upon her most trusted General. Finn was a family friend, practically an Uncle to her. Without being able to completely trust her council of Elders, she would have to rely on him this time. Sitting in her throne room, Beth indulged in a brief moment of solitude while she waited for her first guest. Later her Uncle Tristan would be coming so she had a Gaian official there to keep everything kosher. Not to mention, he would be able to advise her on how to best speak with Hayden. Feeling her stomach ache, she rubbed a hand across the smoothness of her belly. The few servants left to attend to her saw the discomfort on her face and one offered to get her a pot of tea to calm the pain. Her fingers danced softly over the silk of her corset, knowing the glimmer still held in place and covered the softness of her middle left from her pregnancy. Her body aside, her mind wasn't completely here in this room. It was upstairs with her children and partner. When this was all done, when she had changed the Fate of her people, she could return to be with them again.

As usual Finn appeared in his uniform, his sword hanging at his side of course the once stag crest had been replaced with the fox crest of his Queen. It son golden and lavender on his blazer. Announced, he was allowed in audience, and strode up the length of the room with grace and dignity.
Bowing, Finn, smiled calmly. "my lady." Formal, but also with a cheeky glint in his bright eyes.

"My Lord General-" Beth stood and, as she descended the dais, help out her hand to him to escort her. As much as meetings like this were supposed to be held in a more public forum, she wanted to speak with him alone. In her study, she waved him to sit down and poured him a drink while she settled for water. After all, breast feeding and social drinking weren't really the best plans. "How are you doing, milord?"

Finn smiled and sat as directed. He also took the sweet brandy from her and cupped it in his hand. "I have little complaints." He answered her question honestly. "my daughter is happy, my granddaughter is bright and clever and my mistress-" he never called Hon his wife because she wasn't but it was also much more fun calling her his mistress, even when she wasn't in the direct area. finn always figured she heard him, and that gave him a boyish grin. "-is still young."

She laughed softly, "You know, I bet any time you say that, Aunt Honoria grins." Running her fingers through her hair and clearing her throat with a sip of water, it was time for business. "I talked to Hayden and I've done a lot of thinking, General, and it's time to make some changes."

"I do hope so." he chuckled.
But as she became serious so did he. "And you choosing to speak to me, because its sensitive business?" He was a little more tuned on than most gave him credit for.

Beth nodded, "General, I wish to propose an absolution of the Human rules." She took another sip of water as she felt her heart race with the risk of it all. "Right now, men of the service are allowed to bend it as it is a time of war. I want all of Miriel to have the same freedom."

If Finn had a reaction he didnt show it. "Youll find that a hard task, my lady, the elders will fight your notion completely."
