Maggie loved her loft. Like really, really loved it. It had been her and Tex's first place that was theirs- Most of their firsts had happened here... But the loft was not practical for a baby. There were sharp corners, angles, and steep stairs. With a mix of material instinct and prodding, she'd finally consented to moving. Or at least she and Tex were meeting with the family real estate broker.
Morning sickness had not been Mags' friend the last couple of weeks. Her body ached and she was exhausted. Fortunately, for her, the sheer strength of will she possessed motivated her to carry on and live up to her own insanely high standards. Because of this, she was doubled over the toliet wearing a vintage Chanel and Louboutin kitten heels. Only her pearls were slightly askew. Standing, she wiped her mouth off and flushed before going to the sink to brush her teeth. "I need to buy stocks in colgate."
Going to find Tex in his makeshift office, Maggie sat on his lap. A pout played upon her lips. "I like the loft-" She murmured, resting her head on his shoulder. Maybe, more than anything, she was just scared of change...

Unclipping his headphones, letting them fall around his neck he laughed softly. "Four hundred and thirty two" He was counting the times she protested the change. Smirking he stroked his fingers through her hair and kissed her softly. "ooo, colgate." He teased her, fiddling with one of the dials on the sound board in front of him and pausing what was playing there. He was an early bird, and always had been. Tex had also worked out that if he got most of his work done between 5am and lunch he could meet her for lunch before taking the afternoon to get all the little things around the house done before she came home. Including Walking Bella. "Its for the best Mags, you know it is. Think about it, we'll get a place with a studio for me and a work studio for you, somewhere for the baby, somewhere for flic when she stays. We'd have enough space for you to work from home more too-" stroking her rib playfully he kissed her again to soften the blow as he added teasingly. "I might actually see you more." Tex smirked, and put the headphones on her head. "Listen to this-" And he played the track. It was something he was working on for Flic's birthday- a mix of her singing her icecream song. He'd been tuning her voice, so it didn't sound like it would break glass anymore.

She grinned, "She'll love this. Seriously- Though you'll delude the poor child into thinking she actually is a rock star." Standing, Maggie tugged on his hand to follow. "The broker will be here any time now."

"I have to get this done-" He sighed, but followed her anyway. "You know this is the right step don't you? Despite all your protesting."

"I know but Tex, what if we don't like the new place? What if we're not happy there?" Hormones had triggered Maggie's irrational fears and they tended to run like grocery lists.

"Then we'll move somewhere else- "

"What if we're not happy there either? What if-" Yes, Maggie almost asked if he'd leave her and then stopped, feeling irrational.
