Charlie's mouth opened and closed and opened again. He was seeing red. "They said what?" He growled, and Charlie very rarely actually growled. There was a flash of hatred in the orange in his eyes and he scooped the boy up (protest or not) and stormed back towards the school. Very rarely did he play dominant male, and yeh he was aware he wasn't the innocent party in this, but some little brats had set his cub and he was about to put them to justice.
Wait...Keegan wasn't his cub. The thought only tightened his jaw and he held the boy close, as he banged on Jess's door.

Jess opened the door, looking confused. Keegan rested on Charlie's shoulder, looking pacified but upset. It was Charlie who was now seething. She could see the red in his eyes, smell the rage on him. Shit. "I was just about to walk home- Can I do something to help you before I leave?" She spoke slowly, patiently to avoid confrontation. Being alone with an angry wolf and his cub wasn't exactly the best of situations.

"Tell her what you told me, cub" Charlie said, and wbhen he addressed Keegan the anger was gone instantly. But it lingered in his tension, in the yellow of his eyes. "Tell her."

Keegan repeated his conversation with the other kids, sniffling with upset. It was clear, even though he was a boy and a wolf, that he was a bit of a sensitive thing and Jess reached out and longed to cuddle him. "Well, Monday I'll make sure I have a talk with them." She promised the cub in her best teacher voice.

"Not good enough." Charlie growled, curling the boy protectively in once more against him.

She looked at him, lips pursed. "What else would you like me to do, Charlie?" Jess' hands slid into her pockets as she watched him closely and the cub in his arms. "We don't condone corporal measures towards our students. The boys were mean and we'll speak with them about it..."

"Then tell me where I can find the parents of the kids, and I'll have a word of my own." He told her.

Jess shook her head, "I don't think that would be appropriate..."
