Immortals cannot die. That’s keep this in mind. Now, few races are actually immortal. This is mainly for deities. Examples of those on Twig are the Christoses. Because they’re the children of the devil, they cannot die. So basically they’re infallible. Immortals, when wounded, heal fairly quickly but, depending on the severity of the wound, could just never heal. Leaving some of them looking more dead then alive. Demi mortals are more the most typical variety of those found in Gaia. They’re basically super human. This category includes the undead also. They have abilities that lay above the normal human level such as speed strength and different powers. They aren’t immortal but they are much harder to kill. Some species have lifetimes that last centuries such as vampires and elves and others, like lycans and shapeshifters have a human lifetime. Although many of them will never die of natural causes, some choose death or they are injured to the point that they succumb to death. Mortals aren’t just plain and simple humans. Some of them, by standards can be listed between mortal and demi mortal. Although humans are the highest statistically of this category, the other grouping would be humans with gifts. This includes psychics, telekenetics and those with other gifts. What they lack is the ability to super heal or resist bodily harm. They are also much more susceptible to disease and the human condition.
