Name: Alice Alexandra Roy
Age: 24
Birthday: September 26
Race: Mortal
Species: Totally mortal
Family:
Cameron Roy - father, deceased
Janelle Roy - mother
Jensen Roy - younger brother (20)
Appearance: Alice is beautiful in that non-traditional sort of way. Her face is a blank palette, and if she puts no effort into it (which she often doesn't, she's far too busy to play dress-up) she looks almost plain. However, put a little make-up on her and Alice really stands out as smoky beauty. She has a wider-set nose and dark, oval shaped brown eyes. Her hair is usually kept straight and out of her face, but if she's actually going for a sexier look she'll use her natural waves to her advantage and give it a soft curl. Naturally highlighted by the sun, she has pretty blonde streaks in her hair that give her otherwise bland average brown coloring a punch. Alice as bigger teeth and as such, a huge, rambunctious smile, but she also has a dangerous and broody look when upset. The lightest layer of freckles dusts her face and her body is very athletic and fit. She has carved, six-pack abs and thick legs, and it's clear she keeps herself in good shape. A little bit taller than your average girl, at five foot eight, Alice can be pretty intimidating.

Personality: Alice is more than a bit of a tough nut. She is completely capable of handling herself. You don't screw with Alice without hearing about it and learning your lesson. At the same time, she is possible to befriend and has quite the laughing nature. She doesn't like people who make light heart out of everything, that just aren't capable of taking important things seriously. They irritate her and boy you'll know it if you're on her list. She likes jokes but everything as the right time and place. She's a fairly good friend to have given you treat her with the same kind of respect in return. Unlike a lot of mortal military members, Alice is guided by a mortal compass that she won't have shaken. She is a firm believer in standing up for your rights and changing something if it isn't right. Alice has hopes for a future of equality amongst mortals.
Being on her angry side isn't suggested as she is very biting and cynical. Plus, she'll use whatever means necessary to remove you from her presence. Hate is a very strong word that she's learned first-hand, and doesn't use it likely. Just the same with the word love, Alice won't toss it around and use it on just everyone. In fact, she's so focused on changing the world and righting wrongs that she hasn't had time for love in her life, other than a little teenage romance in the past. She's not a girly girl by any means and loves to get in the dirt, but at least she knows how to dress up and look pretty if she so chooses. Alice's weakness is children, she really likes kids and finds them hilarious and cute. They haven't been tainted by this wicked world. She isn't stubborn in most things - she can see another person's viewpoint and use it so that it will be benifical. Alice has a tough shell that makes it hard for others to get underneath, because she doesn't like to show her weaknesses and pain. Generally speaking, she's nice. Alice is controlled and knows the meaning of the word "discipline", but somehow she manages to be wild and a little bit crazy at the same time. When not on the battle field, Alice does what she wants.
History:
Alice was basically born into the military. Her dad served and was a high ranking general in the mortal army. Alice was given the good things in life and lived very comfortably. She really didn't hear too much about immortals and didn't care to know. Her mother was very young when Alice was born (as most mothers are in Gaia), and she stayed at home to raise her two children. Despite his military background, Cameron Roy was a good father and was in the army to serve and protect those he loved. Alice was given the book "Utopia" when she was ten, and has held it close to her side ever since. It's worn pages and a few liquid spills show the love its been given. Her brother was born a little less than four years after Alice, and he taught her a great lesson - not to judge someone by their appearance. Her brother Jensen had down syndrome, and ignoring the judgmental stare of others, her family raised him. Alice became very close to Jensen and was always his protector, especially in school.
She remembers many a nights she'd sit by her dad's side and he'd teach her militiary strategies using ketchup and pepper bottles. At eleven, she could tell you almost everything there was to know. Alice became obsessed with soccor and is still in love with it to this day. She decided she would follow in the footsteps in her father however, and pick up a militiary career. He was very loving but also strict, and she learned at a young age to behave. Her brother was coddled but that was to be expected. When Alice was eleven she jumped out of an apple tree when her father arrived home unexpectedly. She had been told not to climb it but did it anyway, and when she jumped she landed wrong and broke her ankle. She was prompty rushed inside and told with a tough-love attitude that she had better wipe away those tears because she deserved what she got. Alice did very well in public school and joined the military as soon as she graduated and hit eighteen. She'd had a couple boyfriends in the past but they never lasted, one reason being her dad was a scary man and two was that she just wasn't vunerable enough for them. Alice couldn't be that damsel-in-distress character that so many guys were looking for.
Alice's quick learning for how the ranks worked moved her up fast from private to sergent. She continued to wow with her determination and positive attitude for the cause. However, the older she got, the more things began to change. The fighting between mortals and immortals grew ever the worse, and Josh Calico's reign wasn't anything if not a bloody one. Rumors began to be started, mortals stopped trusting each other, and Alice and her family began to doubt what cause they were fighting for. It was one thing to protect your own, but it was another entirely to build a facility to torture and murder immortals. Some of which, hadn't given any cause for being punished. Alice was naturally inclined to be suspicious of immortals, but when did they cross the line? When she was twenty-one, her father was put on trial for high treason against Josh Calico and condemned to death. Maybe he had gone against his orders (it wouldn't surprise Alice if he thought he was doing the right thing), or perhaps he was innocent. It didn't matter. They murdered an innocent man who'd devoted his whole life to protecting the very people who sentenced him. Alice's whole body and mind filled with rage. More executions followed, nothing felt right anymore. Was she even on the correct side?
If one thing is for certain, it's that history always repeats itself, and the war between the mortals and the immortals always comes full circle. Alice will do whatever it takes to stop the madness and bring peace for the mortals, like there once was so long ago. No, mortals and immortals clearly cannot live side-by-side like they once did, but at least it can be controlled. Mass chaos can't continue, people can't live their lives in total fear. Alice began a secret rebellion while still a member of the very military she's trying to overthrow. She's heard there are other groups like hers, that in small ways are infiltrating the system. Alice is determined to find them, and together they'll lead a revolution that Gaia's been waiting for.
