Isla's belly was swollen like the full moon. She was curled up in her little bed, sleeping on her side but the cub wouldn't still. Maybe it was because she hadn't seen Nate in over a month and their child missed his Father as much as she did? "Hush-" She whispered into the night, "Quiet, Regan." And then she realized he wasn't about to settle. Rolling her eyes, she hauled herself off the twin bed. Lighting a lantern, she opened the door into the hallway. "Grandma?" She called into the darkness, "Grandma it's time." Although she didn't the candle, its light and warmth comforted her. Labor and pain didn't scare Isla. She expected it. Welcomed it. The thing that scared her was the path the Mother had put her on. It seemed so backwards to her people. She, the daughter of the Alpha, never expected this... But so seemed the lot of her family. Cal, Ben, Parker- All of them had found love in the most unusual of circumstances. With a deep sigh, she raised again off the door way and took a few shakey steps into the hall. Knees buckling, she hit the railing to balance and fought back the urge to change.

Torrin had been up having a late night snack when he heard his big sister on the stairs. Taking them two at a time, the teenager bolted to her side. "What? Whats happening?" He asked her, spitting the biscuit he was eating everywhere. "Issy, is everything ok?" Of course, Torrin had been kept out of truth for he most part. Despite the fact Logan was gone, Torrin simply assumed the cub she carried was his, and part of him wasn't sure he'd ever accept that. He scuttled after the torch she'd dropped, bringing it back to them so the flame flickered over her face. "Issy?" he asked again, inspecting her almost. Torrin knew it was the baby, but he was young and niave and didn't understand to what extent. "Should I get dad? Should you wait here? Should we get you up?"

Isla laughed softly, "Tor, I'm fine." She cupped his face reassuringly and gave him a wan smile. "Go get Grandma, okay? She'll know what to do." Of course, Is had faith in her Grandmother do fix everything. "I need to go sit down, okay, Tor?"

Torrin nodded, getting up sharply. Then he did a double take, and came back to her. "Are you sure?"The look she gave him was enough and he dropped his foil wrapped burger and darted off upstairs. "GRANDMA!" He yelled, and woke the whole house as he banged on the bedroom door.

Rand opened the door, not looking amused. "Torr, boy, you better have a damned good reason to wake us all up." He turned, looked at Amber, then back at his Grandson. "And if you're drunk, I'll kick your tail."

He grinned, wiped the tomato sauce of his cheek and said. "Baby." It was a 'hah, you can't kick me' grin for sure.
"God, shut up, already." That was Dom, yelling through the door, the older boy had little patience when Torrin stayed around.
Torrin laughed and rolled his eyes. "Isla's sat in the hallway cos she's having her baby."

Rand sighed, "Okay, good enough reason. Go wash that mug of yours because you're a mess. Amber, I'll go get brown eyes back into her bed and you can come when you're ready."

Amber was still lead in bed of course, listening to the boys. She was surrounded by men, and she loved it, she understood each of them differently, her husband, her sons and her grandsons. Amber had a way with men. She yawned, and rose from the bed, smiling. It was time to make sure Isla was ok.
