Today was a big day for Freya. She was graduating from Sarah Lawerence College with a diploma in Early Childhood Education. The who thing had started at Christmas two years ago. Mags was telling Frey about her neighbour who, although she was a stay at home mom, had just finished the course. It gave her a basis to open her own daycare out of her house.
The idea had intrigued Freya. So, in the new year, the three hellish cousins took a trip to the campus. That day, she signed up. Going home, she told Perrin, hoping it would go over well. Of course he teased her but wanted to do whatever made her happy.
The four terms went by so quickly. Freya found herself so caught up by the mortal world but, unlike Maggie, managed to balance all three she existed in. With her success, Freya became more confident in her pace in the manor and it opened her eyes to the fact she wasn't useless. It provided her with the courage to be more than just the sad or sexy girl. The girl who had no direction.
Tonight was the culmination of all that. She stood backstage in her gown and cap, feeling butterflies flutter in her stomach. Around her was the rest of the graduating class. In the audience were her closest family, those she wanted to share in her joy. Adam and Kenna, Tex and Mags and her Perrin. Jess had volunteered to take Adele tonight so they could celebrate. Hearing the Dean finish her speech, she put on her her picture perfect smile and prepared to receive her diploma.

After the initial teasing Perrin was very proud of his Freya. She had worked hard, and sometimes hse'd hit him over the head with her study papers when he was pestering her - finally that form of deviance could come to an end. He was beginning to wonder how many blows to the head he could actually take anyway. Still, despite all her ebbing disbelief, Perrin knew she was a good mom, she was brilliant with Delly, and he loved her more every time the pair of them did that gooey momsey daughter starey thing that they both did so geniuously.
Still, he was nervous. As the Deans speech ended, he was nervous for her, but that didn't stop the grin on his face. Sat, coushy, between Kenna and Maggie, he watched the stage with bright eyes.

Maggie leaned over to Per, "Proud of our girl, fido?" She asked, eyes on the stage as men and woman came out.

"Extremely." He nodded, and as Freya came out he couldn't help but wolf whistle - so she'd know he'd be watching her ever movement. From here he could even smell her sweet perfume on the air.

Freya looked into the audience, accepted her diploma and smiled. Her cheeks blushed prettily as the Dean leaned over and actually hugged her. The girl had endeared herself to most of the staff and it would be sad to see her go.

"What happens now?" Perrin asked, whispering to Maggie.

"They'll announce the validictorian, they'll be a speech, then we'll leave for dinner."
