She sat back down on the rock, happily talking to him. "I'm fine." She smiled. "Oh and we don't talk to Logan anymore, well, we do talk to him and he goes out with my bestfriend but he's not a very nice person if I'm honest. He hangs out with bully boys at school, and he can be really agressive and scary." Chatting like they were friends for life.

Henry raised an eyebrow while listening to her chat. She and her friends have boyfriends at that age? Times sure have changed since I was around their age. Hmm... Waiting until she stopped to take a breath, he interjected, "That's interesting. But, um, are you comfortable sitting like that? You can come in, er, up and in, if you like," gesturing to the platform above them.

She looked above and thn at him and smiled. "I wouldnt want to interupt your cleaning." The little elf smiled sweetly.

Waving a hand dismissively, Henry replied, "Well, I was taking a break anyways. I've cleaned out the few bats that dared to enter, so it should be clear of pests." Although...I might be able to infuse a few bats with the essence of fire, and create some firebats, or something similar.
OOC: Sorry for the lame Starcraft reference...just couldn't resist it.

"Ok." She smiled.

Taking that to mean acceptance of the invitation, Henry turned back to the cliff face, only to scowl. "Forgot that the spikes would mess up the ladders," he muttered. Placing a gauntleted palm to the side of the cliff, Henry sank his arm into the rock while muttering some arcane phrases. Nothing visible happened for a few seconds, then the cliff face (cracked from the impact of the platform) flattened into a smooth wall-like surface, then ladders appeared (by portions of the rock sinking inwards). Withdrawing his hand, Henry turned back to Samantha.
Gesturing to the new ladders, he said, "There's a restored path, but it might be a bit tough. Want to go the shorter route instead?" With the last question, Henry pointed straight upwards.

Sammy's eyes craned upwards, and then down the length of the ladders. Her eyes went to him and she smiled, but it didn't meet her eyes. "Ok." She murmured quietly, stuffing her hands in her pockets. "Are you sure I can't just blink to the top?" Of course elves had the ability to disappear-reapear at will, and it was a gift Sammy had been practicing recently, with her trips back and forth Gaia and Miriel. "The ladder doesn't look that safe." She commented, shyly, not wanting to hurt his feelings over his work.

"Eh? Blink to the top?" Henry asked, not sure what she meant. Shrugging his shoulders, he said, "Sure. About the ladder being unsafe, thanks for the compliment. It's supposed to deter intruders, after all." With that, he stepped off the cliff, then invoked his levitation spell, dipping slightly, before rising to the platform above, which he stepped onto.
Remembering something, Henry quickly gestured a glowing symbol in the air, before it flared briefly and disappeared. "There we go, almost forgot to nullify the other defenses."
