Kayden growled, hands balling into fists. "Take a step closer." He dared him. The elf was no match. "Zoey, grab Runa and go pack from bags for yourself. You're not staying." The young man faced down the elder elf, refusing to break eye contact. Once she had grabbed their daughter and slid out the door, Kayden chuckled. "Told you I'd be back." His fists lit afire. "Nice to see you again."

"Now hang on, what in blazes is going on here?" He was trying to be the bigger person but he just wanted to strangle the kid.
Zoey hesitated, and then retreated, picking up Runa in a whirl of dress cloth she carried her on her hip running through the house to her daughters nursary. Her own stuff didn't matter, but in her haste she swept up a box from under Runa's bed, anything Kayden had ever given their daughter was kept hidden and safe in it.

"Im taking Runa and Zoey. They're leaving Miriel and they'll never be back." Calmly he saluted the older man. "Thanks for taking care of them for me but you don't have to any more. From here, I've got it covered." He even managed to smirk as he got what he wanted. And Kayden always did.

Zoey didn't look at anyone as she took Kaydens arm, let him take her whereever he pleased. Was she happy to be out of here, yes, but she wasn't free. Her mind paniced through she looked rather calm. What was Kayden planning now? A cosy get together with the family she hadnt seen in months - oh that would be good wouldnt it. Mommy, Daddy, suprise I'm having a baby and I dont actually know who the father of this one is. Oh but to add sugar to that, I cant actually to back to Miriel and any justice I'd done for honour I just wrecklessly undid. Would she regret this seemingly irrational disicion? Not on her life.

There was a part of Hell that had lay vacant for a while. While he and his cousins used it as a crash back for when they were too drunk to face their parents or to hook up with one of the girls from the gate bars, it had been a while since it had been in actual use. The war got in the way of such childish amusements. So Kayden cleaned it up- made it more like a home because he had known he could only go without Zoey for so long. He scooped up Runa and placed her on the faded velvet couch. Once the girl was sitting, sort of looking around in silent quiet, Kay swept her off her feet and kissed her. "Zoe, I love you."

Zoey laughed and cried all at once, still she was trembling of course. "I know...I think I knew before you did." She told him gently, stroking his cheek and kissing him back. She didn't want to know where she was, she didnt want to look around, to think about how she'd gone from one fort to another. Kissing him again she let him hold her. "Promise me, promise you wont leave me." She begged still weak in account of the last year.

"Think you could have given me a clue, precious?" He whispered in her ear, kissing her again. Free to do so. He wanted to take her to the room he'd set aside for her and lay her on the bed but he couldn't not right now. He had two of them to think about now so he contented himself with kisses and feathery touches from her hands. "I won't leave you. I promise I won't. I've already told my Dad that I was leaving- That I didn't know where I was going but I had to leave. And that lead my right to you, Zoey." His hands settled at her beautiful waist and he moved to his knees, kissing over her belly.

The tears will still fresh on her checks and as he knelt she stroked a hand through his spikey hair before dropping to her knees too. "What if he's not yours?" She whispered, because Zoey couldn't find the voice to do anything else than that. "What if he's...just an elf..?" It didn't bare thinking about.
