Tex was nervous, but he was on home territory so he wasn't likely to show it. Lazing on the couch he was drinking a beer and waiting for Mags and her parents to show up, he didn't know if Apollo was coming, and part of him wished he was just to teach his sister a sodding lesson.
Abbie had come, her husband was too busy and couldnt miss the games but as Abbie put it she wouldnt 'miss out on the fun'. In fact, everytime a smart looking car went by the in the street below the big, beautiful house, then she ooo and aaa and wound him up.
Jean was running around like a bit of a mad thing, polishing everything. And of course Aurther wasn't anywhere to be seen. "We'll just tell them that your fathers stuck at the office."
"Well its true." Tex didn't look up from the music channel.
"Yes love, I know that, but its very rude. They've flown all the way over here and your father can't be here to meet them."
"I'm sure it's not dad their interested." Abbie teased.
"Do you think we'll be able to talk about the wedding?"
"Mom, please!" Tex complained, swigging his beer.
"Well, you already said that this..Kip was it?"
"Yes mom."
"What an unsual name for a woman? where did you say they were from?"
He was glad of the drestraction from wedding talk, but despite that sighed. "I didn't mom."
"oooo Tex, this is really them this time- or at least, thats Maggie!"

Maggie was tugging at the skirt of her dress, trying to fix the hem. She looked cute- well as cute as she could get. Unlike Kip, she couldn't pull off the sweet, girl next door look. Blame Daddy's genes for that one. She had a hold of Pol's hand, like she used to when she was a little girl. It meant she was nervous. She chewed on her lip and tried not to gnaw off the lip gloss. She'd spent the whole day prepping them all, making her family promise to play by the rules. Flic had been appeased when Eli stopped in to pick her up. After all, according to the little girl, Eli was one of her favorite friends.
Stepping up the steps to their brownstone, she took a deep breath and knocked on the door. This was it. This was go time. All systems operational and all that.

"I dont see why we didnt bring Flic." Pol teased her, trying to get her to relax a little. Of course he looked like his father right then, the pair of them carrying off so much charisma without even trying.
"Pol don't wind your sister up." Kip told him, shaking her head. "Flic wouldnt understand the boundaries, and you know that-" She tucked the label in the back of her daughters shirt and added; "Stop fretting Rosy."
"I got it." Tex hadnt moved so fast in a while, beating him meddling older sister to the door, and leaving his mom to re-heat the kettle. He pulled the door open and smirked. "Heya-"

Mags smiled and stepped away from Pol to take Tex's hand. One shining knight to the other. "Hey." She said softly, "Ready for this?"

"Nothing to worry about, peice of cake." He smiled and drew her in kissing her. Then smiled at the rest of the family. "Again, Ill congratulate you on leaving the pjs at home Gwyn." It was becoming a running joke. "Kip, beautiful as ever. Same Pol spoils it."
"Go screw yourself, weed." Pol laughed, goodnatured, and shook the boys hand. Then Tex let them in.

Gwyn chuckled, "Well Tex, I must admit it's nice to see you're not in bed." He murmured, just so the boy could hear him and gave a wink. Gwyn wasn't naive about Tex and Maggie. "Now, why don't you introduce us before I unleash the beef eater?"

He lead them into the sitting room, "Abbie, make yourself useful."
Abbie laughed. "Hello again Maggie."
"This is Abbie, my older sister."

Mags gave a little smile but stuck close to the people she knew she had on her side. "Hiya again, where's your husband?"
