The mall was busy at this time of day, with it being lunchtime and all that. But today it was busier than normal. Tex was working on getting Kat back into the swing of things; he’d booked them the stand and was making her sing for him and every other person in the mall. He’d been the lead man of the band, but this wasn’t the band now, this was all about her and him.
Of course she’d beaten him to started with and protested, but Tex just sat at the piano, letting her sing away. He played with ease, and without music sheets. His mind strayed to Maggie far too much to be healthy.
[Song- Unfaithful – Rihanna]
There was a little crowd gathering now, watching and listening. Kat didn’t have what it took to be a lead singer she just watched Tex as he played, too scared to look at the people gathering but her voice covered her nerves easily.
Kat ended her song to a round of applause and while people put some change into their bucket she came over and smacked Tex on the head. "Your whore."
He laughed. "yeah yeah, feeling better?"
Kat sat on the stool next to him. "Your go - sing something for me then I'll feel better."
"My wish is your command." He teased, and started the next song.
[Song - Bad Day- Daniel Powter]
Now Tex knew how to play his audience, he made poeple stop and stare, he made people sit up and listen and he wasn't really doing anything, just singing to the girl beside him and about the girl he'd met in the most unlikely place in the world.

Mags was in the mall already. So she was watching Tex play with Kat... and was watching him from the back of the crowd. That wasn't stalkerish.... Was it? She really did love the sound of his voice when he sang. Almost as much as she loved it when he just whispered promises of safety into her ear. And then there was Kat- It was so easy to feel jealous of the way he looked at her. The way he sang to her. Or it would be if Mags couldn't feel him thinking about her. The thought made her smile beautifully. Actually smile.

Kat laughed at him, and his song choice, hitting him over the head again. Didn't stop Tex playing though, his fingers moving over the keys naturally. He'd been born for this, for the music.
The song came to its end again and Tex glanced out to the audience he'd draw. Ah, that wasn't part of the plan. When his eyes found Maggie in the back to everything else just sort of stopped. 'Hi' he mouthed through the crowd and turned back to Kat. "I'm gunna grab a coffee - you want anything while I'm gone?"
"no..I'll just sit and guard the piano shall I?" She laughed.
"Do you mind?" Tex asked, rising.
"no, do on...tell her hi from me." She grinned knowingly.
Tex chuckled and jumped off the stand, donning his jacket.

Mags tried to look nonchalant but what other reason would she be in the mortal world for besides him? "Very nice job." She said with a smirk, "You've managed to press me yet again." She giggled like she had in his bed the other night and took his hand.

"Damn I'm getting good at this now." He chuckled, and slid his hand into hers neatly. "So no entourage of girls then?" They'd been out with Tam as well last time...now that had been an experience.

She shook her head, "I left her at home with Freya. The two are going through another... rough time." Kip had released them from her protection. Not because she wanted to but her stupid ass cousin had made a deal with her tormentor.

His arm slipped around her shoulders lightly, releasing her hand. "Come and get a coffee with me and you can tell me all about it, ok?"

Mags looked back. "What about Kat? Are you sure she doesn't want to come?"
