Name:
Aislin Noble
Age:
25
Birthday:
25th December
Race:
Mortal
Species:
The Sandman
Family:
Aislin’s family is as complicated as everything else about him. He had seven brothers and sisters, and he had a father, now none of them exist and he’s not sure he was blood related to any of them anyway.
Appearance:
Aislin is tall dark and handsome. His got a ripped, James bond look about him and looks like he’s just stepped off the red carpet. Of course Aislin’s completely unaware of his looks, the square of his jaw, the lush colour of his eyes and the way we all drool over his firm, manly body.
Rugged and unshaven there’s usually the lightest touches of stubble along his shin and his hair is kept short and rough.
His dress sense is a little set back in the medieval ages; he wears a lot of linen or is usually seen in shirts and suits. He’s a formal kind of guy. He wears cloaks and boots, usually cream or grey. Aislin doesn’t wear colour but remains neutral in browns, creams and shades such as black and white.

Celebrity Claim:
Henry Cavill
Personality:
Aislin is a calm and collected rather shy person. He’s not known to do anything spontaneous and generally takes a back seat, staying well away from the limelight. If he does react with his heart and not his head it means he’s truly set on the idea and that it’s special to him.
He’s a proper gentle man, with a good set of moral values and when it comes to issues of the heart he shies well away. Aislin is a romantic character with a love of art and dance but don’t let that fool you he can hold his own when he needs to.
Aislin’s greatest trait is his intellect; he’s interesting but mysterious when it comes to himself. Of course, when you break through the shy barrier he’s capable of opening up and being warm hearted. It just doesn’t happen very often. At all. Aislin is use to being a lone wolf.
History:
Aislin’s history isn’t a pleasant one. He wasn’t born like the rest of us, and therefore he has no bellybutton. Of course, he’s considered mortal because he doesn’t live forever. Aislin life ends when the next sandman is created, he just sort of exists in time and space and more importantly the dream realm.
He was one of a batch of eight. He and seven other girls and boys were created by powers unknown, people of human form but not human and defiantly not of the red hand genre even if the first stages of his ‘life’ were very similar to red hand ruling.
The children were kept like battery hens. In crates of wood and as they grew and the space got smaller they spent their time curled up in balls. Tubes into their spines fed them, much like an umbilical cord in the womb, but these children were without comfort.
Aislin was seven before he saw the light of daytime, and by this time there were only three of the batch-lings left. Strangely strong for their ages the two boys and a girl were put against each other in a fight. The girl lost and before the survivors eyes she was cut into tiny little pieces and thrown in the incinerator.
A man came. ‘The Father’ they were told to call him. This man trained Aislin and his brother Jad and their training took seven years to complete. They learnt everything imaginable about the realm of dreams, from good to bad, from nightmare to fantasy.
Then the man picked. Jad was taken away and Aislin was put back in his box. Four days later, without food or water and half dead Aislin was dragged from his box to face Jad again. The boys scrapped and fought. Jad was stronger; in four days he’d become a man rather than a straggly teenager. He used a sword against Aislin’s bare hands, and cut Aislin up badly.
Somehow, and by no means do we understand this, fate intervened and the sword ended up plunged into the favourites chest, rather than Aislin’s. Jad lay dead in Aislin’s arms and he’d hated himself for it every since. The only person he ever hurt, died.
Aislin was the new Sandman, and as a reward he was given a little bag of magic sand. As he tied it to his belt he left hunger behind, having no need for food or drink, for love or another company. Aislin lives in the dream world where nothing has substance.
He worked, and worked as he was made to without problem. Slipping in and out of dreams day and night until one dream led him to Noel Black. Noel was a seer with a burdened mind. Aislin sat in her dreams in the form of a horse, and listened to her, watched her and eased her trouble. He felt some form of connection to her, a need to be with her and she seemed to return his new desire for company. Aislin found a friend in Noel even if she only thought of him as part of a dream, a vision.
Of course, Noel’s dream led him to Bethany. Bethany was nursing the dreams of a small girl, and when this stopped working Aislin stepped in. He’d never been welcomed by elves and didn’t like them dream walking in his realm either so it wasn’t a loving relationship. The pair hated each other to start with, and Beth nearly ended up trapped in a dream.
But Aislin would never purposely harm. Even if Beth didn’t know that. He passed into the human world, as a teenage form of himself and freed her from the dream, only to be beaten by her brother. Their relationship didn’t grown in kind from there, but Beth wouldn’t give up.
The Elfin Princess still plagued his dreams, and in order to finally try and get rid of her Aislin gave her watch she wanted. He gave her information, talked to her, and explained who he was to her. She saw him in his true form and despite himself Aislin fell in love.
It was never suppose to happen, it’s against everything he was created for, and Aislin didn’t even know he was capable of it, but the Princess owns his carefully made heart.
Anything Else:
Appearance:
Aislin's eyes change colour like the weather. Between blue and green and brown it reflects his mood.
Blue is his nervous state, or when Aislin's hiding something.
Green is the natural colour of his eyes and his most relax state.
Brown, passion comes from his eyes when their this colour. Be it anger or otherwise.
Aislin is The Sandman. He's unique. One of a Kind.
The Sandman is based on the old bedtime story that parents used to tell their children, hoping it would help them sleep. The actual origins of this tale are lost in the sands of time, and may predate written history, as one generation to the next passed along in variations the following fable:
[glow=purple,2,300]There is a creature that comes to you in that space of time just before you fall asleep. Some time after your eyes close for the last time that night, and some time before you fall into a state of unconsciousness, he materialises over you. Is he an angel or a devil? No one is sure because no one has ever got a good look at him. Some claim he has a head shaped like the crescent moon, and dark eyes with stars inside them. He carries with him a bag of magic sand, and he sprinkles a very small amount over your face. Some say it twinkles in the moonlight, like a thousand tiny stars just over your face as they fall. Some say the sand actually sounds like a music box, or the flitter of faerie wings. No one has ever really heard the sound however, for by the time the sand touches your face and alights about your eyelids, you're on your way to dreaming.[/glow]
There are numerous legend about the sandman, good to evil. Aislin is neither. He's neutral and takes care of children's dreams both in the mortal and the immortal realm, moving without trouble through both.
There are, so far, only two people that have seen Aislin and only one who has seen him in his true form.
