Name: Caine Suttern
Age: 23
Birthday: March 21
Race: Immortal
Species: Wolf
Family: Parents: Eileen and David Suthern
Siblings: Joesph (27) and Haley (18)
Appearance: Caine isn't your traditional beauty. She's not the type of girl who'd normally catch your attention off the street at first look- But she grows on you. Although pale, her skin tans nicely in the summer, occasionally freckling at the shoulders and the nose. Her frame is boyish- broader at the shoulders with a thin waist and hips. Though, when she puts some effort in, she does manage to show of her feminine curves and the like.
Her hair is dark and wavy, never really making a decision whether it would be prefer to be straight or curly. It hangs just midchest when she doesn't have it tyed up. Which she normally does. Her bangs are long and more like short layers really but its the most fashionable part of her appearance most of the times and its without even trying. Her hair is a surprising contrast to her bright grey eyes. They shine or simmer depending on her mood.
Caine's fashion sense may be what you call lacking. She's most often found in a jumper and shorts. Barefoot in all seasons, she abandonned shoes with other her humanity. When she does manage to dress up, she just buys whatevers in the shop window. Saves her from making a choice about something that doesn't matter that much to her.

Personality: Caine's a tough cookie but what can ya do. Maybe it started with the fact her mother named after a lost soul or her whole life has seemed to be a situation of unfortunate events, either way, she's developed a thick skin. That's not to say she's unfriendly- Nah, she's the type of mate you wouldn't mind going to the pub with and grabbing a pint but she's not exactly the woman you'd want to play Mary Poppins with your little ones. Although she's not a fan of crowds, being alone is worse. Being alone means you have to listen to those little doubting voices in the back of your head- So better to listen to nonsense all around you.
History: Caine was born to a couple of born again Christians in the heart of Alberta. They were that sugary sweet, perfect type of people. And, when they found out they were pregnant with their second child, of course they were overjoyed. Multiply and replenish the earth and all that rubbish. Only everything didn't go as planned. Eileen went into labor almost a month and a half early- Putting both her and baby into the I.C.U. Worse off, the baby wasn't the cute and cuddly sort. She was covered in fine down and had a birth mark on her back that was menacing looking. The doctors promised the parents that she'd be fine and eventually, she shed her furriness and grew into a plump little dumpling.
Both parent and child slowly grew warmer and by the time she was a girl, they were a warm happy family. They lived in a nice neighbourhood with good schools and went to church every Sunday. They bought a puppy and a bunny, grew a vegetable garden and went to choir practice. When Caine was five, Haley was born and all was happier still.
When she started school, things weren't easy. She was teased for her name and the weird clothes she wore: her mom insisted on making her wear hand made things while all the other kids had store bought jeans and teeshirts. When they had gym, they found out about her birthmark and it was just more fuel for the fire of creulty. Kids can be cruel.
That was the beginning of Caine's rebellious strak. When she was done crying, she came out swinging. Sometime's literally. Imagine how surprised Eileen and David were that their little girl had a wicked right hook. After a few suspensions and a hand full of detentions, she was sent off to a boarding school close to her maternal Grandparents. England was a far cry from Canada and the old world style fascinated her. She took to wandering around the streets at night, sneaking out of her dorms through an old coal shoot.
One night, she was wandering around in the moonlight. Singing to herself, she heard a comotion. Peeking around the corner to see what it was, a flash of gray tackled her to the ground. Then there was pain. Lots of it. The thing bit her throat, tore her up and left her for dead. And no one came looking for her. Not anyone she knew-
When she woke up, she was in a strange place. There were lots of people around and they were all starring her. She had been found by the precursor to the Pendragons and he'd taken her home. She stayed with the Wyatt family until she was healed; they explained what happened to her and what she was now. Once it was safe, Caine was taken to live with England's last remaining pack- A secretive group but one who was loving and nurturing towards their ward. They raised her the best they could and taught her to be a wolf while she grew into a woman.
Somehow, Mother willing, they all made it through the dark times that the Red Hands brought. None were caught, none were killed. When King Tristan tried, they only tightened their bonds and remained closer to their homestead. The Alpha had a few Red Hands in his pocket, paying them off to keep the rest away. The men, mercenaries, were more loyal to money then their cause.
When the old Alpha died, the new one decided it was time to move within Gaia. They no longer had the cash resources to keep the Red Hands at bay. They moved slowly, a couple families at a time. Caine was one of the last ones to go, not having a family of her own. When they finally closed the old pack manor, she cried for the first time in years before setting off to make the long journey to the boarder.
