b]Name:[/b] Charlotte Buckland
Known As: Charlie
Age: 20
Birthday: Feb 2
Race: Mortal
Species: Human
Family:
Mom: Sarah Buckland- Kent
Stepfather: Renardo Kent
Stepsisters: Angel (5)
Appearance: Charlie's really relaxed in her fashion sense. She likes jeans and tee shirts, jumpers, nothing too fancy. With her job, she likes clothes that are comfortable and fit well while she's playing with the kids. Sometimes she'll wear make up for like special occasions and things but that not very often- she's a Chapstick sorta girl.
As for her frame and such, Charlie's one tiny girl. She stands about 4' 10" and has a petite frame to match. Most people think she's younger with a combination of size and her cute features but she makes up for it in personality.

Personality: Charlie's a nice person. I know, I know everything thinks they're nice but she genuinely is. With the job she has, it's a bit of a requirements but she's always had a sweet soul and a kind word for all. She carries a quiet confidence and a light that draws people to her and makes them listen to what she has to say. Not to say, she's all sugar. With her love for music, she's a big fan of the blues- the gritty, reality of it all. And that's where a Charlie's bad girl comes out.
History: Charlotte Roxanne Buckland was born on February 2 in New York City to a single mother. Her family was living in Brooklyn at the time, and she was raised in her Grandparents' house until she was the age of seven when her Mother married for the first time. Darryl Buckland was a financial advisor with a big firm but he lived a fairly simple life. He and Sarah met at a church group and the two of them hit it off. Charlie's Mom didn't want to get into anything serious but when he hit it off with her little girl, the two were quietly engaged and married.
Growing up, Charlie loved music thanks to Darryl. He introduced her to everything he could. The two waltz in the living room to classical, bopped in the backyard to jazz, sang in the car to Opera and mosh pitted to punk while raking leaves. He had her enrolled in a private girl's school where she joined the choir and the glee club. He took an active interest in her life and she in turned loved him like the daughter he'd never had.
When she was fourteen, Charlie figured out something. She liked girls. Boys had never really appealed to her… But when a girl kissed her at a grade nine party, she figured it out. Terrified, she couldn't tell Sarah, her mother who relied heavily on her faith. So she went to the one person she could count on: Her father. When she told him, he just nodded and told her it would be hard, he didn't tell lie to her but he also told her he'd be behind her.
The next year, Darryl died. It was a brain aneurysm- Unexpected and unavoidable. The Buckland women were devastated. They moved from to a smaller apartment and Charlie dropped out of private school and enrolled into a public high school. Here they didn't have glee club but they had choir and drama group. They also had an outreach program for students to go into the community and help underprivileged children. While her Mother prayed away her sadness, Charlie worked it off, let go of her sadness by making the kids smile.
Less than a year later, Sarah was getting remarried to a man, that in Charlie's opinion, she hardly knew. Renardo was the new pastor at the church Sarah went to and he'd asked her to play the organ. The two had gone out for coffees and stayed after prayer group talking. Next thing she knew, they were getting married. Unlike Darryl, she didn't like her new Dad. He was preachy and strict. He took her out of drama club because he didn't like the play they were doing. After that, he took her out of choir because he didn't believe they should sing secular songs.
When Sarah got pregnant, Charlie had enough. She was sixteen and sick of the looks her stepfather gave her. So she decided to go out on her own. Hitchhiking into the inner city, the gritty New York musical scene, she looked around, flashed around a fake idea (Ms Henrietta Baker, 25, of Iowa) and finally found a place to stay. She lived with three band guys, all of whom came onto her, all of whom she turned away. They started calling her a d**e… And when they realized she was a lesbian, they backed off and became like big brothers.
Charlie ended up being like their little Snow White, taking care of their dirty apartment and making it less of a dump and more of a home. To repay her, for her seventeenth birthday birthday, they got her drunk and got her a tattoo of a design she'd been playing like. The next day, she woke up sore and inked- And decided as much as she loved her boys, she had to move out. Eric, her drummer boy, called up his Mom and convinced her to let Charlie stay there for free. She got a couple of jobs and saved up enough money to put herself through school. Charlie got a degree in Music.
Randomly enough, she ran into a Priest who was a teacher at the school she went to when she was a child. As they were talking, he mentioned that they needed a new choir mistress and he thought she'd be great for the job. After getting an interview with the church panel, Kaylee was hired as the new teacher for the primary choir.
