It was amazing what you could do when you knew how. And Josh had alot of know how. He also had three, yes count them, three spies inside Gaia, three people who knew the lay out, the way out and more importantly the way in.
And despite any deal he'd made it was time to claim what was rightfully his.
"Dont move." He told Charity, pressing the sharp edge of the needle into her spinal cord. Taking pleasure in the tense of her shoulders, the hiss of her breath as she tried to pretend that didnt hurt. Oh but he knew it would.
There were forty of his men, moving through the village, drugging, paralising, draning the power from and where they saw fit raping, plundering and killing, in the darkness of the night.
"Suprise." he whispered in her ear. He's heard a rumour once, something silly that was passed around the mens locker room. If you shouted suprise it wasnt rape at all... he'd never stopped to wonder how that worked.
"Wheres your little home maker?" He murmured, enjoying the fire in her eyes as she glared at him, her words sweet on his ears. "Get out, get out of my house, you son of a bitch." Music.

Body stinging from the beating it took, Chatty waited. She waited for him to become to confident in himself, careless as he knocked her about and did what he pleased. His grunt in her ear, the loosening of his fingers in her hair were the signals she needed- then she struck out. Swinging with the nearest thing of the kitchen side, she hit him hard over the head with a glass and ran to the sound of the smashed glass hitting the floor.
Giddy from the drug, she made her way to the kids room. But Chatty wasn't able to deal with their questions right then, she just scooped Ali up and took Grace's hand, pulling them out of there. It was Grace Josh wanted, it always would be...
Hearing him on the stairs, cussing and threatening, like some sort of wild animal, she pushed the kids into the master bedroom. "Under the bed." Chatty told them, softly, trying not to frighten them anymore. "Stay under there until Daddy or I come and get you out." She promised, kissing both their heads. "Everythings going to be alright."
Grace took Ali's hand and did as she was told, eyes round and big, but as much as she was scared for her kids Chatty rose, turned away from them, and left the bedroom- locking the door from the outside.
The red head met with Josh again on the landing, and this time he held a gun in her face.
"You know my, pretty." He purred. "I did always enjoy your little games."
He made her feel sick, or maybe that was the drug.. she wanted nothing more right then to blast him into a hundred peices; but her power was dead his medication had seen to that.
"Dance for me-" He growled; and shot at her feet. Charity yelped and fell backwards, hitting her head hard on the wall. Josh laughed; taking her by her hair again and dragging her to her feet. "Not what I had in mind." He teased.

Although torture is all well and good, our dear Doctor didn't appreciate it being exacted against his lover. And, despite the fact he is not a violent man, he made an exception for Josh. Appearing in a blaze of crimson flames, Caleb tackled the mortal King- sending the gun flying. Rolling Josh under him, he straightened and started to punch. There was a satisfying crack as his head not only bounced against the hardwood of the floor and his nose cracked.
"Char, get the gun!" Caleb called out to her, hitting his opponent a few more times with vigor. Of course, being at the heart of the market, he'd seen and heard the chaos and had the marks on him to prove he'd been trying to help. But then he'd heard one of the soldiers talking about Josh 'fixing his bitch' and knew he had to help at home first.
"You think you can come in here and hurt her?" Caleb snarled, slamming Josh's head into the ground again. "I'll teach you a lesson someone should have taught you a long time ago, Josh- What it means to be a man and not a weasel." The other man's mouth opened but before a retort could be honored, he was punched again.

It took her a moment to work out that was Caleb... watching she flinched once or twice as the two men faught. The gun skidded along the corridor to her feet, and she tried to pull herself up from her knees, taking hold of the cold metal in her hands. Staring at it for a moment, like it would go off she troked her thumb over the cool barrel. She'd been given a means to an end.
Her vision swam, and she dicided standing wasn't all that necessary. Sitting on her heels, she struggled to focus on what they were doing, but she heard the words clearly; "Your next, Cross. I'll let you watch if you like, and when I'm done with the bitch I'll gut the kid just for good measure."

"I will kill you!" Caleb's hands ignited and hovered over his face, "If you don't take that back, you snivelling animal!"

Josh laughed, perhaps a little manically. He grabbed Caleb's shirt an tugged the man down. "She tastes so sweet doesnt she?" He whispered like it was all a big secret. Though he didnt finish his taunt as he let out a scream of pain to the sound of the gun going off- Charity's aim was poor, and she was scared she'd hit Caleb, but the bullet met the skin of Josh's foot, shattering bones. She couldn't let Caleb be the bad guy- he was the good guy... this wasnt him.

Caleb stood, wiping off his bleeding lip. "I'm giving you two minutes to run before I tear you apart." He growled, rage making him tremble.

Chatty watched, resting against the wall, half slumped back, half about to be very very sick. She dropped the gun down to the floor, watching josh scramble to his feet. For a moment there was a check mate, then the guards burst through the door, chatty jumped at the sound. But thankfully Josh took control, he was good at that. He halted the guards, gave Caleb a stinking look and hobbled towards them, getting a helping hand out of there.
There was something of a shimmer of relief in the sigh Chat let out.
