There were bad people all over the world, and Gaia wasn't exactly exempt. There were murderers and rapests and evil people everywhere in the world. Gaia was just fortunate that most people didn't want to do anything bad after coming out of a dark time, out of coming from a bad world where they were hunted and broken and abused. Unfortunatly Jeremy Totter wasn't a person who was healin in Gaia. He was a man who was experiemented on, a man who was broken and a man who lived in the mountains, alone, an out-sider. And that had made him a bad person.
It was Yaz's bad fortune that put her in his path an a bad day. Yaz wasn't often without Fletcher, or Zeke or one of the twins. Today she'd nipped down to the village to get a suprise for her husband for dinner. She'd taken the same shortcut she always took, but this time she was aware of someone following her...she didn't get chance to change and run before he'd caught her over the head and Yaz had blacked out.
She woke in a dark cave that smelt of grim and shit. Her eyelids were heavy, and her chest hurt. Yaz was dissy and she felt sick, but over all that was the smell of mushroom steaks. The bastard. He'd cooked up the dinner she'd gone out to get for her mate. She sat in the darkness, trying to control her breath, and not panic, but Yaz had been as badly beaten as the rest of them, she'd been through all of this before and the bad memories that Zeke had lovingly surpressed over the years were coming to the surface and as Jeremy's shadow closed out the darkness, Yaz vomited.
