Kayden stood in front of the manor, hands in his pockets. He had made it over the boarder before, sat in front of the house that she was in. It wasn't like him to brood over a girl- Not one. But she was under his skin. Not to mention, somewhere in that house was his daughter. Running a hand through his dark spiked hair, he finally got up the balls to go up and announce himself, fully knowing the Lord of the manor wasn't in.
The servants left him in the glass walled. living room to wait. So, as Kayden placed the lengths of marble floors, he realized this is the life he could never give Zoe. This was what she deserved. Still selfishly, he hated the fact she was locked up here.

And of course she was holed up here, locked and chained - though not literally she didn't leave the house. It was proper for her to leave the house unless she was escorted by her lord. It seemed so unreal for her to be married to a lord, to be put in an arranged marriage with a man old enough to be her father. Oh f course her father stewed on it every waking moment and had done for the last year. But Zoey, if she minded, didn't say anything. They'd asked her to do it, to try and bring some sort of peace back between the fey and the elves.
Dressed in a blue, off the shoulder gown, her hair tumbled down around her shoulders and she sat on the floor of the living room, watching her daughter colour- she was so smart, so clever and s like her father...Zoey laughed as th little girl came and sat on her lap, rubbing her hands on the beginning of her a bump in her stomach. At eighteen she was having her second child, in six months the cries of a second baby would ring out.
"Madam, theres a gentleman in the hall."
Zoe's attention turned to the waiting maid. "oh...okay...did he leave a name?"
"no ma'am, but we caught him hanging around, not an elf this fellow, should I have the cook turn him out?"
Zoey shook her head, "no, no, show him in, Im sure he's waiting to see his Lordship." All the same, she stood ready to recieve their guest.

The maid came out, "The Lady will see you now."
With a suspicious look, she disappeared, leaving Kayden to enter. He stayed in the hall for a minute more, taking deep breaths, but walked in the room. And there she was. "Hey there, precious." Kayden's voice didn't rise above a soft murmur as he lay eyes on his first love... and their child. Both of them beings of the son: blond and tan, the same blue eyes. He swallowed the lump in his throat.

Zoey smiled, she couldnt help herself, and she laughed softly as he announced his own enterance. "Go on-" she nodded at the little three year old that looked up at her for permission. She'd gotten use to being yelled at for being loud or acting out of turn, but now Runa ran forwards, tottered on sometimes unsteady legs and hugged Kayden as high up as she could reach.
Zoey just smiled, sitting on the couch, and folding her hands in her lap.

Kayden kicked the door closed behind him. Screw civility. "Hey there, buttercup." He tossed her up in the air and looked over at Zoe when Runa hardly made a noise. "They brainwashed her too, huh?" He said but cheerfully so she wouldn't know they were arguing. So instead of a laugh, he settled for a hug and a kiss from his favorite girl in the whole world. Well, besides Zoe that is... He came to sit by her on the couch, leaning in and kissing the crook of her neck. She just smelt so good.

Zoey practically melted. it wasn't fair. "Dont Kay..." She whispered when his lips lingered on her throat. If he made this any harder for her she didnt know what she'd do. Her eyes went down to the ground, like the good submissive wife and her hand rested neatly on the curve of her stomach. Meanwhile Runa played with the toggles on her fathers clothes.
"Is it brave or stupid of you to be here?" The eighteen year old asked quietly, not that she ever wanted him to leave.

"Both considering your husband wants me dead." He pressed his hand to her belly. "Is this his? Or mine from the last time I managed to sneak int his nice ivory tower he's built for you?" Kayden would like nothing more than to take her away but he had no where safe. For now, this was better. For now, he'd be okay with missing her if it meant she was safe.

He was so close, and yet so far away. She couldnt touch him...couldnt let him hold her. No, this was too hard. Zoey was tremblng, a sick feeling in her stomach. "Once I give him a heir he'll leave me alone." She whispered, not looking at the love her heart wanted. She needed to breath, needed some fresh air...Zoey slipped away from him, flounding a moment before she curtsied (as manner had been taught to her) "Excuse me.." She begged, and escaped onto the back porch. No qualms about leaving Kayden with his daughter..
