Isla really wasn't supposed to be in the market alone. But, she figured, there had to be someone she knew and that meant she really wasn't doing anything bad, was she? Giggling, she pulled her allowance from her pocket and decided where to spend it. The cake shop should be nice enough.
School had been out for an hour or so. Parker had gone over to Samantha's for tea with her parents and the twins and Daddy was doing something businessy with Uncle Per. So that left her ample time to get up to positively no good.

The market place wasn't as busy as Xila thought it would be. She picked up different scents of the different species there were around. However one seemed to stand out compared to the rest. Another Lycan was close.
She looked around, trying to find who the scent was coming from when she noticed a small blond haired girl approaching a cake shop. She girl was on her own though she didn't look any older than ten years old.
Xila looked to the left and right of her, seeing if there were any adults near by. But there weren't any, at least no Lycans at that. She followed the girl as she approached the front of the cake shop.

The elf behind the counter was laughing as Is had changed her mind six times while ordering. "Ooh, I dunno!" She pressed her face against the glass of the disply. "How many can I get for this much?" She showed her all the money she had. "And I only want the good ones. No yucky ones." Then, remembering her manors, added, "Please."
Turning, s he saw a lady watching her. She smelt like them but she'd never seen her before. Maybe she was new. Isla loved new people. They were like friends with really fun stories. And stories were like her favorite thing next to cake. Or maybe she liked them a bit more. She couldn't really decide either way. Maybe they could both be her most favoritest. Anyways, she walked up to her, looking up. "Hiya."

Xila almost jumped in surprise. One moment she was watching the girl decide what cake she wanted and now she was suddenly in front of her speaking to her. She pushed her hair behind her ear.
The little girl gave her a huge smile and rocked back on her feet. Xila didn't know exactly how to react. She hadn't been around children in a long time, apart from the small baby she had met not so long ago.
"Hello?" she replied akwardly.

She giggled, "You're funny. I'm Isla." She reached up and took the lady's hand. "Are you getting cakes too? They're very yummy here. If you want, you could have one of mine. I think Im going to get six!" Of course, this being Is, she said most of that in once deep breath interdispersed with a couple giggles.

Xila felt slightly uncomfortable with the girl taking her hand, but due to politeness she let the girl drag her to the counter. The elf behind the counter stared at her in confusion. The girl continues to smile at her.
"I don't have any money." Xila said. "And I don't really like cakes that much."
That was a bit of a lie. She hated cakes ever since she was little. Due to her wolf form she had now gotten into the routine of eating meat almost everyday.

She paused, "Don't like cake?" Is' blue eyes opened wide. "Is it cause you're having a tummy ache? Cause Daddy won't let me eat cake when I feel poorly."

Xila shook her head. "I just don't like them." she stated. "I'm more of a main meal eater than a snack eater."
"Where is your father by the way?" she asked.
